About

Repurposing urban space for art, ideas and audiences.

What is Superordinary

Superordinary is a multi-arts space based in Northshore Brisbane. We provide affordable space for artists to create work, show work and collaborate by reclaiming urban spaces.

Superordinary repurposes urban space for arts projects, events and artist development. In our most evolved form, we operate as an arts venue, a studio building, a bar and a public programmer. Each side of the building feeds the other.

We are a working artist platform first. Everything else — the events, the venue hire, the café — exists to support that mission and to keep the space financially sustainable.
